The round, led by Active Partners and Redrice Ventures, included participation from Amrock Ventures, Tom Singh (Rianta Capital), renowned athlete investor Alistair Brownlee MBE, and athletics super agent Ricky Simms. Completed on November 13, 2024, this funding will enable Coopah to advance its AI-powered coaching platform and extend its reach to runners globally.
About Coopah
Coopah was founded in 2020 by Dan Strang and Pete Cooper with the mission to make personalized run coaching accessible and engaging. Inspired by Cooper’s personal journey to embrace running as a means to improve mental health, the startup has developed an app that uses artificial intelligence to create tailored training plans, deliver real-time workout feedback, and foster a supportive running community. The app’s goal is to help new runners establish consistent habits while aiding seasoned athletes in achieving personal bests.
Purpose of financing
The fresh capital injection will be directed towards scaling Coopah’s marketing efforts and further advancing its AI technology to deliver smarter, adaptive coaching experiences. By making its platform more intuitive and social, Coopah aims to break down barriers that often deter people from taking up running, such as generic online plans or the cost and exclusivity of private coaching. Coopah also plans to expand its reach through new partnerships and marketing channels.
